In the Time of the Butterflies by Julia Alvarez is a historical fiction novel that tells a story of the Trujillo dictatorship in the Dominican Republic through a fictionalized account of the Mirabal sisters, the “Butterflies.” The cover design style is inspired by Beehive Books.
